Step 4

Use the awl to pivot the dart closed at the vanishing point, aligning the left notch of the dart with the drawn line of the waistline. Trace the portion of the waistline between the dart and the second pivot point. On the hem, mark the half way point between the side seam and the gathered notch. Trace the center portion of the hem.

Step 5

The next part is tricky since there is not a dart to pivot at (on the front). Take the sloper and pivot from the waistline, moving the hem of the sloper the same distance that opened at the bottom from the first pivoted point. For the back, pivot at the second dart, just as we did for the first dart.
